Name: East Windsor Residence
Architects: Alter Studio
Date: 2009
Location: Austin, TX

The East Windsor Residence is a good example of changing texture on a building with regular rhythm. The base consists of rough stone and then softens up when it transitions to the wooden slats on the front, and then changes texture again with a concrete roofing.

The Monadonoc
Rook and Burnham, Holabird and Roche
1892-1893
Chicago, Illinois

This is a very interesting building considrring it is created half from one architecture company and the other half by another company. I has great patter and rhythm considering it isn't from the same creator. Though from the pictures you can tell it is the same but one is modern the other seems more solid.
